Installed Lowering Springs - no drop noticed

Last night I just finished installing lowering springs with new struts on the front of my R56 (I am doing the rears tonight and tomorrow. I went with Koni Yellows for strut and Godspeed lowering springs. Once the car was down off the jack stands, I am not seeing any noticeable drop for the ride height. I did reuse the stock bump stops. Is there a settling time or anything? Will I be able to see a drop at all? The springs state they will give avg of 1 inch drop on front and rear but I just don't see it on the front yet.

Did you actually measure the ride height before and after? Have you driven the car at all after installation? If you just drop the car off the jack stands, the tires will keep the suspension from moving through its motions and the car will not look lowered right away.

You need to drive around and let the suspension settle. Cars often sit a bit high after having all four wheels off the ground for a while.

I did drive it very briefly to turn it around in the garage so I can start working on the rear. I did not measure the ride height, but I may do that for the rear since I haven't yet jacked the rear up yet.

Also, do I need to cut the stock bump stops?

You shouldn't need to cut the bump stops. I intstalled Spec R springs a month ago and it all went great

I finished up the rears yesterday and I notice no drop on those either. I put adjustable rear lowet control arms on as well to correct for camber after lowering but those appear to not even be needed. I set the length the same as stock. Is 1 inch just not that noticeable or does it still need to settle before i notice anything? I drove it around the neighborhood and if t feels very solid. I have the koni struts set to the stiffest setting and there is like no give. It feels like a go kart. Just disappointed with the amount of drop that appears to not be there

Well Godspeed's aren't exactly a low sitting spring (only 1"). Noticeable drops that ive seen come from H&R or the NM Alpha springs (1.4")
I I'm not sure if shorter bump stops (don't cut yours) will get you a lower stance. All bumpstops do is offer more clearance and keep the car from bottoming out (soft springs will do this).
But if you do want to try some out, get the one's from Way. They have a smaller manufactured bumpstop that fits just right. Maybe after getting them and your springs settle a bit, you'll see more of a minimal drop,
