Eibach springs for the MCS

just wondering if anyone has heard if Eibach will be making springs for the Mini..... I had a set back in my "honda" days and was pretty impressed with them.... was wondering if they have a kit for the mini's.... I've heard that they're developing a coilover setup for the mini but I was jsut interested in the springs.....

Yes, Eibach do make springs for the MINI. There are a few NAM sponsors (yes, Tirerack is one) who sell them.

I have Eibach's -30mm, they are not extreme low, but the car handles verry well,
and there not really hard, the car doesn't bounce all the time when your on a bad road,
if you know what I mean . . .

FYI: On the MINI; the springs have nothing to do with whether your tires rub or not

Don't I read everywhere that the Eibachs only lowered the MCS .75" at the rear? This yellow (good looking) Mini certainly looks like it's gone down a lot more then .75"! Looks more like 2"+.

Would also like to know more about the yellow Mini's wheels and tire combination. Since they do look like 18s, I'd like to know how they perform.

thx for everyone comment, i am running 18" OZ on 215/35/18, no rubbing what so ever,

the Eibach lower the front 1.2 and the back 1.4,

after lowering i think the adj. control arm is a must. with out the control arm the camber in the back make the ride very harsh, with the control arm the ride is so smooth, butter smooth

i used to have 17" volk with 215/40/17,

ride is about the same, i really don't think the 18" ride any more harsh,

but off the line you do feel a little different, u do feel that is a bit heaver,
but really nothing to alarm yourself about,

and the look, is just that much better.

here are some before and after pictures of a 2003 mcs with stock s lites using the "new" eibach suspension springs

stock

eibach

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...cat=500&page=1

eibach advertises 1" front and 1.2" rear drops. my drop was almost exactly that: 1 1/16" front and 1 3/16" and 1 1/4" rear. i have nice even gaps between the tires and the liners; it looks like it came from the factory .

since i've removed 100+ pounds from the rear of the car, my rake was even more than stock. the reason i picked the eibachs was to reduce the rake along with a reasonable drop.

my front camber went from -.2 deg to -.9 deg. i adjusted the rears with 4 h sport arms to -.9 deg and 1/16" toe in.

the ride is about the same as stock for small bumps. for bigger ones, the ride is harsher. the difference is about the same as the difference between the 17" pirelli run flats and "soft wall" 17" regular tires.

the handling difference is amazing much less body roll and crisper turn in. i have no regrets and would install these again.
