koni fsd noisy shocks

Hi all,

So I just got koni fsd struts installed on my car with the stock springs, and I'm getting a lot of noise from the rear struts. They are very squeaky. Was something missed during the install? Anyone else have this problem and have been able to resolve it? I also got a new hotchskis 25mm rear sway installed at the same time. So far the ride is much better, it's just that squeaking is a nuisance.

Check the sway bar first....they usually have a pack of lube to lube the rubber bushing when you install them....most brands need a relub every couple years. Some brands "kinda" fit, and can rub or clunk....so look closely.

+1 on the sway bar bushings, a common complaint.

+1, sway bar bushings are your culprit

Did the sway bar come with new bushings? Since you just installed the bar, did you use a lot of grease on them? I'd also maybe check the sway bar end links. I've had a loose one before cause a good squeak and another time cause a good clunk from the rear.

ok thanks all for the advice. I will have the shop take a look at the rear swaybar. It did come by poly bushings. They may need to grease it up some more.

Looks like you got good advice; fwiw, I had FSDs installed last fall, and no squeaks. Then, or since. Just a vastly improved ride / compliance with road irregularities.

Yep, you guys were right on the money. Shop said they had to grind down the poly bushings a bit as they were getting binded up onto the swaybar. All is good now. No more squeaking. Thanks all!
