Tire rub

I want to know if anyone has issues with tire rub after lowering their Mini. I'm ready to lower my 2014 Clubman S using coilovers and the normal 1.2 to 1.5 in drop. I'm running Neuspeed 7's, 18x7.5 45et, and Michelin Pilot Super Sport 225/35's. I've heard I might need to run wheel spacers to clear my coilovers, which might push my setup out by 1/4in or more. My plan is to use a minimal lower as I want to get a sport ride not a street slam, but I'm worried even that might cause my tires to rub.

I'd like to hear from others who have a wider rim/ tire setup and lowered Mini's on coilovers. Tell us all what you run and what kind of rubbing issues you have.

Yes more than likely you will have some rub, but thats all up to how low you set the car up. You can always adjust them if the car isnt sitting right, but you still want that little gap in between. Are your tires stretched just a little bit? Or are they completely flush? Me personally Im currently not running a 18in wheel on mine, Im running 17's but then again I also have a pretty low offset followed by a stretched tire. So the only rubbing I have is from my rear end. Which I can deal with. I dont know if this helped out at all but keep us posted! Heres my fitment.

most likely will have to run spacers to clear coilovers. i have 225-45-17 on a 7.5 wide wheel with a 45 backspace, i run 5 mm.

as for the outside, it should not rub on the fenders. however you may get a little rub when you hit full steering lock on the fender liners.

you may not though, your tires are shorter then the tires i have
