Rear Clunking Solved

2009 Justa with standard suspension getting clunking from rear at about 50K. Replaced rear sway bar bushings, problem solved. At about 70K clunking returned. Thinking that the bushings must still be ok I replaced both droplinks, sure enough one of them was wore out, problem once again solved. I put some anti-seize on the new droplink treads as to make it easier to get out if there is a next time. If I were to do it over again I would of replaced both the bushings maybe polyurethane bushings and as long as I was in there done the droplinks at the same time.

Very common issue on the R56. Not surprising given that the droplinks have a metal ball in a plastic socket. Not the best recipe for durability!
