Mini Garage in North Jersey

Guys,

I am looking to find a local shop in North New Jersey to install H Sport springs and a swaybar. Anyone know of a place to get this done in the area? I was going to get it done at Helix, but they are all jammed up for the next 2 weeks and I want it for a track day on the 25th.

Thanks,

James

I recommend the guys at AZP Installs in Kenilworth, NJ. They are a bunch of Subaru guys who do tons of autocrossing and track days, and also all kinds of installs of aftermarket stuff. You can find info on them as www.azpinstalls.com.

Even though they're Subie guys they installed a rear sway bar on my MCS and did a great job; and they're reasonably priced. Since they aren't all that familiar with MINIs, you should print out and bring the spring and sway bar install instuctions from Randy Webb or others on this site with you.

Ask for Mike (aka Paisan) if you call them; and tell them the guy with the blue MINI recommended them.

Good luck.

I guess I will just wait..

I looked around last night to no avail. I like Eric at helix, and would prefer if he did it anyway. But if anyone else does know of a shop in the area for future fererence let me know.

I had a LOAD of custom work done at Bodymotion. They are located off of parkway exit 105 near Eatontown. Mike Bavaro is the owner and only deals with Porsches and MINI's. They race two MINI's and really know their stuff. Check out their website www.bodymotion.com and you will get plenty of info. Give them a call.........GUARANTEED you will not be disappointed. Ace will answer the phone, and then ask to speak to Mike. You can also e-mail them.....Mike answers all e-mails.

Went to Helix

I was able to get it done at Helix afterall. I had the RDR swaybar installed, it feels much more neutral now... I like it.

felix, Is it cornering flat now. Just looking for more info on that combination of H-sport springs and RDR bar. I'm waiting for free time to do my install, just bought one but haven't decided if I want to do the spings too.

Yes

I feels like it goes through the corners on a more even plane. No dip in the rear. I don't have the springs yet, going to wait until I get money for wheels too.

filex, I thought from your first post that you were installing H sport spings at the same time.
