Spring and Koni Fsd shocks

What are the best springs to use with the Koni's. I need a smooth as possible ride? Any help would be great. I have a 05 cooper s r53.

FSD struts don't need any alternate spring types, OEM springs are just fine. Go to the KONI website and read up on how the FSD strut works. FSD stands for Frequency Selective Damper. If you are wanting to lower the body with lowering springs and such then you want KONI Yellows. One is not better or worse than the other, they are just for different types of application.

The FSD's will ride best with the non-sport oem springs.

Stock...if you still have them....
and the spring rate varies based upon the WEIGHT of the car.......
so the dealer will use the VIN to get the right springs based on the options...mainly sunroof and tranny....if you get used ones....get ones that MATCH the options of your car...wrong springs=HARSH RIDE.
Any LOWERING springs will DESTROY FSD's in WEEKS!!

How about rear aftermarket anti-sway bar? I installed the FSDs, very much liked the ride and handling over stock in the R53.

What rear anti-sway bar would improve handling but would still stay within the relatively-stock parameters of the FSDs?

Check the WayMotorWorks website and see what they have on special. Most popular bars are 19 and 22 MM adjustables. Mine's a 19, love it, and my 'coffee & donut' buddy has the 22 and he loves his more.

I run JCW springs on mine. I have always been told that they will cause the shocks to fail and such. So far, over 50k later, everything is still fine. Maybe they will fail due to the springs but at this point I feel comfortable with this setup and keeping it.
