KW Variant 3 question

i will be buying a set shortly, but i just found 2 different part numbers. one is 35220050 and the other is 35220070. the 50 said it is for base model, and the 70 says for S model. they both have the same spring rates. i thought the R56 base and S have the same suspension?

So i was wondering if anyone knew anything about this?

The R56 Cooper (non-s) does not have the same suspension as the Cooper S / JCW when its not the sport suspension on the Cooper factory (at least the struts). I would say the cooper stock suspension tends to be a little softer.

On the KW side they test and tune the suspension to the vehicle chassis. They have one for the Cooper and one for the Cooper S. What spring rates did you find for the KW V3 ? I would recommend to get the suspension set for your chassis as that's it was based off of.

The KWs are really awesome coil overs, but we actually have made them even better. Our TSW Spec KWs have been reworked with custom linear springs and are much better matched to the MINI.

We also offer our custom V2s little more affordable.

Then if you want to get real serious we have the Bspec setup which is the same setup on the race cars

Feel free to call us and we'll figure what is best for you.

ECS Tuning - what exactly is the difference between the two KW kits?

Mini does use (at least) two suspensions: default and ($500 optional) sport/JCW. But those two setups are a customer premium options, not based on a S vs. non-S chassis.
