Suspension Need some advice
Need some advice
Hey guys,
I'm doing a road course event at the end of april and I need some suggestions on what upgrades I might need. I have an 09 S, lowered on eibach springs, 215/40/17 tires (BFGoodrich KD) and I just ordered an H-sport RSB. What else do you guys think I might need? (within reason, its a month away and I'm not made of money) I was thinking some shocks, whats best? Koni? I dont want to do anything too crazy because its also my daily driver.
And I know this isnt the correct section, but what brake pads do you guys like?
Any other suggestions you guys have for me? I appreciate any feedback

Others have more experience, but here is my opinion:
You are in pretty good shape, even with a stock MINI. Get the RSB on it, get a good alignment. Maybe try a set of NM engine mount stiffeners (reduces torque steer, better shifting).
I have read good things about EBC red pads.
See how the car runs with the factory shocks, then you can think about aftermarket if you are not happy after the event weekend.
Have fun, let us know how it runs.

I have KW V2s right now which are awesome. I replaced my Koni Yellows and NM springs which is also a nice setup for mild track and street driving. It is all about how much you are willing to spend. I can save you some money cause I am selling my old set.
I ran my first MotD stock except for the NM Engineering Torque Arm Bushing . Take a deep breath, you'll do fine. Wait until you have time to figure out what YOU want to do with your MINI before you start buying stuff.
