Did you have any inner fender clearence issues? It says they need a 3-5mm spacer depending on the wheel.

Bumping an old thread (sorry)...

Can anyone comment if these coilovers can go up to stock height?

The reason I ask is because I would like to be low in the warm months and then back to stock height for dealing with snow and mountain passes in the winter.

Thanks!

Is there a way to adjust the rear damping without removing the strut itself? I'm confused, so is it accessible from inside the car or not?

No they are not, only from underneath the car.

And i'd also like to know if they can go up to stock height or close to it, i too need good ground clearance for winters.

I use to have an Audi A6 twin turbo on coil-overs. I found was that dialing them back up to stock height was a huge pain in the **** while on the car. I had to take them off to clean up the threads and be actually ABLE to raise up the perch. The threads get all messed up. Just a thought worth considering if you're thinking of walking down this road.

How does the rear end feel with these coilovers? Looking to up spring rates a little bit. 7k/8k I believe is standard, I might go 7.5k/9k.

First, let me say thank you to MotoGreg for helping me fix the install on the coilovers. He's a very nice guy who knows a lot about cars in general, very accomodating and a standout person. Thank you again Greg!

Now, on to the pictures:

As for the ride, Greg test drove it after the install so I'm gonna have him do majority of the talking here. In my opinion he is an authority when it comes to suspension and he is not bias when giving out reviews.

All I can say is that this coilovers rides better than stock and way way better than lowering springs. I'm on runflats and still, I feel the improvement over stock. Not too bouncy not too soft, right now it is set midway between soft and stiff but I'm trying out every setting until i find what's suitable for street and little bit aggressive driving.

For the price, I think this coilover is a good buy... we'll see!
How many clicks do you set the rear damper settings on that height? Is there any way to adjust the rear dampers without removing the struts? I am not mechanically inclined, so I will have to bring my Paceman to the mechanic and have them set it up. My rears are a bit higher than yours and the damper settings are set to 16 clicks, which is midway, but whenever I go through highway dips, my tires rubs with the wheel well...

You have to remove the rear struts because the 32 point valve is on the top. From start to finish I re adjusted the rear in 30 minutes.

No you can't. You would need a lift kit to raise it, but I wouldn't recommend it

Got it - thanks! Yes, been reading up on the lift kits and the steering wheel vibration and tranny issues. Will most likely run the stock suspension come winter.

Interesting.. the only thing I've seen about steering wheel vibration is from M7 website... I haven't seen anything yet on tranny issues. The folks that have installed the lift on their countryman's on this board haven't complained about any of those issues.. unless I just of missed it..
