Spring change

Going to be lowering my 06 MCSC with TSW V3 springs. Can I replace the springs without completely removing the strut assembly. If so is there a how to somewhere.

Not that I know of, even if you managed to get the upper strut mount off and the spring free, the control arm/knuckle isn't going to lower enough for you to get the spring lifted off the strut without dropping the whole thing.

It's not difficult at all to remove the entire strut assembly. It's only the pinch bolt, end link nut and the 3 nuts on top.

It really isn't; have a look for yourself if you're not familiar with the process:

You have to remove the whole assembly both front and rear to change the spring.

No need to purchase an expensive spring compressor either. Just buy a pair of 1" wide ratchet straps from Harbor Freight. After you get the struts out, just tighten the straps on either side of the spring to put it in compression before you undo the top nut. Then carefully release the ratchets once you've gotten the spring out. Put the new spring in compression with the straps and re-assemble. Be sure to line up the ends in the perches properly before releasing.

Or you could always rent one from a local auto parts store...I had to give a $52 deposit on one at O'Reillys and when I returned it I got $52 back...all it cost me was a 5 minute drive.
