How to check if I actually have sport suspension?

I have the sport suspension option listed on the window sticker, but my MINI doesn't seem to ride all that stiff, and my friend's non-sport suspension Clubman S seems to ride stiffer. I have access to a Rotary 2-post lift at work, is there anything I can check (measure rear sway bar? markings on springs/shocks?) to see if I absolutely have the sport suspension option?

Thanks

Here's my Mini at the track (Autobahn in Joliet, IL)

And with the aforementioned Clubman S

You should be able to measure the rear sway bar. If it measures 18mm, then you have it. The standard suspension will have a rear sway bar of 17mm.

There is a marking, it has been awhile since I've seen it on my car (at work right now) ..when I get home I can look for it, BUT i believe it is a sticker or stamp that is either on the shocks OR the rear trailing arms. ...check your front shocks, i think there was a white sticker that mentioned sport suspension.

Nice looking Mini Pull off a wheel, and you will find a sticker on the shock/strut body, that says Sport on it. That sticker will also have the part number on there. I have the Sport Suspension on my JCW, and it rode great. I have since gone to NM Alpha springs that work well with the Sport shocks/struts, and ride/handle even better

Thanks everyone...I was able to turn the front wheels and locate the "Sport"sticker on both front shocks.

BlueToy....I love NM-Eng products, I'll definitely consider the Alpha springs! And when they wear out the shocks, it will be an excuse to get Koni Yellows. And did you have to get an alignment?

Just noticed you are in Chicago too....were you at Joliet on Sunday for MTTS? Your JCW looks awesome!

I think you'll really like the NM springs. I'm headed the same way, eventually Koni Yellows. I did an alignment after the spring install, using the NM "performance" specs, really happy with the way it's set-up. I missed MTTS, out of town with work.
