Does anybody know if there is a strut bar that fits with no rubbing for RAM AIR type intakes? Im talking about the ones that have the mounted air duct underneath the hood scoop like DDM, AEM, and RD makes. See the pics for what I mean. Is anything available that wont block this set up? Im trying to find out what kind of strut bar is in the first picture.
I could be wrong, but that bar looks like the facotry JCW bar...
I just installed a M7 J-Brace for a club member on a 2013 Cooper S Roadster that had the DDM Race intake. Needed to add some rubber between the box and the bar on the passenger side of the box to keep it from vibrating, but it works well.
could you get pictures? I like to see the setup. I have a 2012 coupe s with a m7 j brace and thinking of buying the ddm race intake.
Is there anyone that can confirm that this is the stock JCW strut brace working with an AEM intake kit? Looking at the AEM pipe kind of makes me think this is an N14 engine.

That is a JCW bar, and that is an N14 engine with AEM intake.
Hate to revive and older thread, but has anyone found a solution for the DDMWorks Race Intake System? I have a GT Spec bar and it rubs the ram portion pretty bad to the point it needs to be repainted/powder coated. I have the 2013 JCW with the N18.
