Suspension Koni Sport Suspension Kit vs H&R Touring Cup Kit?
Koni Sport Suspension Kit vs H&R Touring Cup Kit?
I'm in the process of doing some work on my car (LCA bushings, swaybar bushings, IE Camber Plates), and since the car has 90,000+ miles on it, I figured it might be a good time to replace the worn out stock shocks.
At first I thought about just getting some Koni FSD shocks, but the more I thought about it...the more I'm leaning towards spending just a few more dollars and doing the lowering "sport" springs also. I've researched the lower end coilovers like the Megan's and Vmaxx's...but for a daily driver, I think that standard shocks and lowering springs would be better.
I've narrowed it down to two suspension kits...the Koni Sport kit, and the H&R Cup Kit. I can get either one for around the same price, so it basically comes down to which kit would be a better choice for a daily driver. I would like the car a little lower, but nothing crazy...maybe an 1" lower.
Can someone give me some info on each of these kits?
Thanks!

I've been going back and forth myself as you can see from my thread. The H&R will go over the 1" you want to lower and I've been told that it is a relatively stiff setup. The Koni Springs I've read aren't that great either.
I ended up buying Swift Spec R springs awhile ago and ended up finding a way to get my Koni yellows ordered for A less than FSD's. The Swift Springs are pretty stiff, but do provide a uniform drop front and rear of about 7/8". I am going to see how the Koni Yellow/Swift Combo works out and if it's still too stiff... I'm going to pick up some HSport Springs instead or Some TSW, something slightly softer than the Swifts, but I don't want to go over 1" myself.
Again I can't give my opinion on how the Koni's are, but after hours of reading and searching, I would suggest Swift, HSport or TSW Springs.

I'll second the HSports, lowers about 1'' and still a decent ride. I bought a set of Eibach's at a decent price from a guy going coilover just to try, have never got around to it.

If you're going to lower at all, Koni Yellows. But some of your threads are pointing towards comfort comfort comfort... if that is what you want, FSD's are the only real option. I guess TSW Springs with Koni Sports (From what I've read) aren't bad, but any type of lowering is going to make the ride harsher.
I just had to go through this decision in my thread as well. I finally decided that I like the look of the car lowered moderately lowered (Swift Springs) enough that I would deal with the slightly harsher ride and got the Koni Yellows to go with them as people are saying they make the ride better than stock shocks and swift springs. But so far stock w/swift is not the most comfortable by any means on nasty roads and I just happen to have a lot of nasty roads in my area.
FYI, Motoringwerks now has Koni FSD's and Sports on sale for good prices.

Thanks for all the info.
Yes, I'm kind of going back and forth right now. I'm trying to decide if I just want to leave the ride height stock and add some Koni FSD's in exchange for the worn out stock shocks.....or drop the car a little with the Hsport springs and go with the Koni Yellows.
I've seen several posts where people are using the FSD's with the Hsports...even though Koni says not to do it.
