Megan coilovers standing up to test of time and miles?
im thinking about getting some megan coilovers and im curious how ppl who have them like them, and how they are standing up to the test of time and miles being put on them?
ive had them on my car for the past 6 years and they are doing just fine!
and have probably over 50thousand miles on them as my MINI is over 200K miles now and have had no issues, bottomed out a few times my fault as im LOW but otherwise for the money their great and look good two.

I've had them on for 10k. I've had to change the front pillow mounts and a spring bushing. I like them I had the first set with the 8k spings in the front and the ridde was almost brutal at times. Just switch them out for swift springs all the way around and it ride so much better. Still firm but nothing like before.
We've sold several sets of the Megan Coilovers for the R53 and the customers seem to be very happy with them. They are not the biggest and best racing setup around, but for the money they are a good buy.
Actually our customer that did the Targa Race twice using the Megan coilovers and done a ton of track days on them without failure. I personally drove the car at Road Atlanta and passed a GT3, so their not all bad. But if you were looking for more of a track setup I'd move up to the KW's.

I have megans, bought them on here unused from another NAM member, Love them so far. I track my car 6-7 times throughout the summer and so far after 1 yr they've been great. The adjustability is great, height, camber and rebound at the turn of a dial.
This is just my .02 and I'm prob the only one that would say this, but I would choose Megan/BC over KW/ST. And imo its the other way around, If I wanted a comfortable daily with occasional track day, I would choose KW. They have a low pressure twin-tube unit which makes for a comfortable daily. The rates on the KW V3 are also really soft. I can go on and on about the differences and why I would make my decision but definitely don't want to step on other people's toes.
Will getting the megan coilovers with the camber plates included fix my mushrooming issue? I was going to get the strut tower defenders that bolt under the strut tower and help prevent mushrooming, but looking at the megan coilovers it appears the camber plate would do this?
Would be a no brainer for me since it will replace the cost of strut tower defenders and new strut mounts for my stock suspension since mine are most likely bent. Effectively reduces the cost another $250 for me.

This is exactly why i ordered mine. but i got the m7 brace for the top too.
not installed yet, take 5 days to ship from California.
i see it like this.
1: $850 for all 4 wheels, makes $200 each. try to replace the shocks with oem!
2: get to lower my car.
3: super reinforcement my towers.
4: under-plates lift the car and ruin camber, these don't.
5: camber plates cost $300 alone.
6: they look good.
7: its more professional and cheaper then each of the parts needed to each of these alone.
