I need to get some new pictures, but the ride height is pretty much the same. I just tried to even out all 4 corners.

I need to take some new pictures! I only made a small adjustment to even out all 4 corners-1/2 turn on passenger rear. I'll post some pics later this week

Strange thing is it just started doing this after about 1 month with no issues.

To Kris @ suspension source, any thoughts??
Mine makes noises like that too. I just don't pay attention to it. But then again, I don't know if it was making those same noises before the suspension. I just ignore it. It doesn't bother me. I've had enough lowered cars to know that sometimes you just have noises.

The noises do go away you've driven the car for a bit. Also, I have the dreaded vibration issues too. Again, I don't care. I know that it happens to some of us that are lowered. I'll continue to drive it like I stole it and if I breaks, then I'll figure something out.

Let know how it goes with him. I'm curious to know. For me, it's a small "clunk" like noise. It's almost like something is moving. The car seems to drive ok though. I have about 4K miles on my setup.

Thanks Kris, I'll send him an email now, I have taken the strut back out twice re-torqued everything to specs and it still does it. It's the exact same sound as MINIGEZR has described. The sounds have more caused me to question safety, which is why I have pulled it out twice to check.

Simplybao; I never had any noises prior to installing the ST's. This is definitely something new. Can you explain/elaborate a little more on your vibration issues. I think I may have a very slight vibration under acceleration? I understand that when you make changes like this the car feel will change. I would just lke to keep it as near perfect as possible!

Safety was my concern too and had everything checked to be sure. I would hate to do any damage. Lets see what Adam has to say.

The vibration I'm talking about is at low RPM. It's well documented in the suspension forums. Just do a search on vibration after lowering. There is a VERY long thread about it. In short, it's nothing to worry about. It has something to do with the angle of the axles. Don't quote me on that. Find that thread and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Adam replied already. BUT, he sent a PDF and I don't have the ability to modify the PDF.

Thanks Bao.

Adam replied to me too. Now I have to get that info and measurements for him! You could print and fax it back to him.

Another reason why I love carrying ST products. Their tech/customer service is really good.

The vibration at lower RPM's is due to the change in drivetrain, when you lower the car, you change the angle of the axel or whatever drives in the wheels in a front wheel drive. That causes the vibration.

I have however noticed with my ST's, that at first, I had the spring lined up when i put the set up in but when i adjusted the ride, the spring shifted out of the top perch. I think that was causing a strange noises at first when i was at slow speeds. I fixed it now and things are good.

Do you re-use the stock front upper spring perches with these? The reason I'm asking is because I was looking at the Vorshlag front camber plates, and you have to choose which upper spring perch size is needed. I'm assuming stock size.

...oh and also do you re-use the oem bumpstops? If not, what are the shaft diameters?

You know, I can't recall which parts I used. I'm sorry. I do know that the factory bumpstops aren't used. There are new ones that come with the kit.

Minigezr, Simplybao - I just returned from work and haven't had time to get Adam my stats on the suspension. Have either of you been able to resolve it?

No, I travel just about 5 days a week for work and the weekends have been hectic. I haven't had a chance to. Mine doesn't always make the sound, either that or I just don't think about it.

I emailed Adam yesterday asking if he had heard from you guys/updates as I haven't had the time to get the measurements. Hopefully this week I can find time. I'll keep you both posted here if I forward him the info. I really would like to resolve this knock!

Well, I installed these last Monday. Or rather, I paid someone competent to install them.

I started a thread, but it received no attention, and this is the most active ST coils thread, so I figured I would share my update here. It has been about 225km on the new system so far, and it's starting to settle a bit. They handle really great, it feels surefooted in the corners, little to no body roll. It is a firmer ride than the stock non-sport suspension, but it feels compliant and not jarring or rough. I think it's a great compromise between comfort and handling.

I haven't had the alignment done yet, and the tech wanted to wait to install my H-Sport control arms.

I purchased 5mm spacers but they were not needed. My tire/wheel setup is 205/50/16 on 16x7 et40 Konig Feathers. Unfortunately they installed the spacers anyway, otherwise I would have sold them cheap. I did not need the longer bolts (because I already had aftermarket bolts.) so I DO have a set of 8 longer bolts from H&R that I will sell cheap to anyone who needs them and PM's me. Still in the bags.

Anyway here are some photos of my car showing the gap and the rear strut to see where it's adjusted to. The tech said he set it up to be "24 inches all around," which I assume means from ground to fender.

("Tall" coffee cup. I will be cutting off that chin piece. It scrapes.)

Thanks again to TheSuspensionSource for hooking me up with these. Great service, great product.

A few weeks after mine were installed, I think I have finally found the right ride height or at least until winter really goes away. Love the coilovers so far. Below are some pics

Good info in this thread! I'm about to install my ST coilovers. For a 1.2" drop, will I need camber plates and LCAs for proper camber adjustment suited for occasional track days/autocross ??? I know about the free camber mod, but I doubt that would be enough.

Thanks in advance.

Beautiful car Digitys! I have the same tires. Are those 215's? Any rubbing issues?
