Roll Center Adjusters, harsher ride?

I have been doing some reading into the roll center spacers. It sounds like a great addition and a must have cheap mod for our suspension. After all that I have read about them it never mentions if they will cause any NVH. I did read that it will change the effect of the spring rates but didn't know if this would cause them to be 'harsher'.

Any thoughts? Anyone particular company to get?

Y'mean like these?

http://www.meganracing.com/product.a...d=933&catid=54

Darn - I didn't realize they were available, thanks for the awareness.

I shall have to go and check the SCCA STX rules to see if they're legal.

They look handy, and a valid criticism of lowering (as I have) with our chassis is that the roll centers drop quite a bit.

Kind regards,

Charlie

Ps: Anyone got these? Do they reduce the roll angle of the car absent any other changes? Quality? Durability? Pretty please?

Pps: Damn this is the first mod that has really caught my attention in a while...

Has no one discovered the importance of these?

Only reason I don't use those particular ones is they won't work with 15 inch wheels. Just make sure you're not going to have any clearance issues.

Being I designed these, I can tell ya that 99% of you will notice absolutely no difference.
Increasing spring rate? No, not really. They may ever so slightingly increase motion ratio, but not enough to have any effect on spring rate feel.
Honestly, if you are not all out racing your car, there is not a whole lot of use for them.

Fantastic. While I'm not out racing as much as I'd like I will be on track a few a year. I spoke with Way Motor Works and AutoxCooper and both said I should notice a differene even on the street. We'll see. They're cheap enough...

my mini is a daily driver that I take to track days and have some fun with my friends (sorry not going to race this thing; my first love is motorcycle racing and that's where i will accept the black hole of funds). I'm reasonably quick lapping thunderhill @ 2:12s on a stock car with a 17" Hankook Rs-3s + carbotechs xp10/8

The car handles reasonably well but I know I could put the power down harder/quicker and without sliding if I did a few tweaks (x brace, strut bar, f/r sway bars, koni + springs; rbf600 + braided lines).

i'm looking for quicker transitions in chicanes; faster bump recovery when hitting curbs; fighting squatting in corners; reduce dive on braking - will I notice a different the roll center adjusters?

Raising RC lowers roll moment effectively making the springs more effective. I'm back Greg... Hopefully the control arms are parallel with the ground...

They correct roll center locations. SAI/king pin and suspension stroke are not affected. Camber will change SAI/king pin.
