Mach V or H&R

Hello,
First post here.

Have an 07 Chili Red Cooper. It was going to be a lease return in August but thanks to some unfortunate money matters I decided to keep my Chili. Now that Im keeping it Im deciding to start my mods.

First will be Tint, then Lowering, then a blackout quest.

I would just like to know everyones opinions on springs. I am looking for the lowest drop for the lowest price. I also wanted to know if anyone here knew about maybe cutting a Mach V spring so it would sit a little lower. And what are the bump stops for? I heard that people remove them?
That is the height Im looking for. Actually thats what I want to do with my whole car! lol
any ideas on what wing that is?
thanks NAM Folks.
Gregory

No springs will get you that low. Cutting springs is a bad idea. Just get vmax coilovers or buy used. You can do things inexpensively but still do it right.

Edit: Bumpstops prevent over compressing your shocks. Some people cut them, I wouldn't however recommend removing them entirely.

Mach V Springs

If you look in my gallery there are a couple pictures of before and after Mach V springs. I can't imagine the car being much lower...it occasionally scrapes now. Something to remember if you cut coils...the more you cut the stiffer the spring gets.

This is on Mach V's....I really can't imagine being lower.

They do have a lot of rake (front sits lower than rear), so you could go lower in the rear...but I scrape over everything, I would not go lower. I love how the car sits....hate how it rides though
