Rennline Shift ****

I just ordered this beaut! I was going to go with Carbon Fiber, but opted for this. It looks pretty nice. I should have it by weekend. I'll post my review.

Good choice! The owner of Rennline used my MINI to develop all the R53 bits, and used a JCW R56 for the 2nd gen cars.

Although I don't have this shift **** on mine (I have a JCW carbon/leather **** and Rennline pedal set), I was able to drive with one of these in his Porsche 997 Carrera S while they were developing all the parts on my R53. The **** is very nice and so is the 997...OMG! The Rennline shift **** feels much better than the stock large round version and more like a race version.

If you want the cats weow, remove your stock pedals and bolt on the Rennline set of three. If you really know your MINI and how it drives, the difference in pedal feel is amazing with more precise shifts and better brake feel. The stock rubber backed pedal covers are not what I would call enthusiast pedals.

All of Rennline parts are tops and designed, engineered and tested right here in Milton, Vermont. I subject my R53 to some of the harshest driving conditions in the US and nastiest frost heaved roads you can imagine. From autocrossing, track events, drivers education to hillclimbs, all the parts are tested tough.

I have been talking with Tom Rittenburg over at Rennline, Nice guy. I am very impressed with their products. I should have my Shift **** on Friday. I will post my impressions.

I am looking at the pedals also. They look rock solid! Did you get the gas pedal extensions? Is this a must have? Could you post a pic of your pedals installed?

Also do you have the plate that goes behind the pedals? I really want the whole setup, but dont want my stock floor mats to cover it up.

Thanks AXO

Yes, all the Rennline staff are tops.

I only have the three Rennline pedals installed (since 2008) and the gas pedal extension was just too wide and close to the brake.

I received my New Rennline Shift **** yesterday . As usual with Me , The 5 minute install was more like 45 minutes. Getting the shift boot to seperate from the console was a nightmare (PIA). I broke off a couple of tabs. After the shift boot was removed the install was super quick.

The **** is of Excellent Quality and has nice weight to it. The Brushed finish compliments the brushed trim rings in the interior . The rounded **** felt nice in my hand and the three rubber rings at the base keeps you hand planted. Very Comfortable.

Rennline hit a Homerun with this Shift **** I highly recommend it

Did you get a chance to weigh it compared to the stock one?

No, I never weighed it. I can weigh the stock one if that helps. Maybe Rennline can give you the weight of their ****.
