Suspension camber bolts for the front end (where it needs it)
For most cars it seems you can find an eccentric camber bolt for the front strut. This is usually an inexpensive way of getting some negative camber up front. The mini's so desperately need camber in the front end. Anyone ever tried this or know of a product? I would like a full degree of camber, as I do drive it on the street .

Do to the nature of the MINI's suspension camber adj. with camber bolts is not possible with the front suspension. Camber plates are the way to go, I have K-MAC's. If that is to expensive, the cheap thing to do is to slot the holes at the top of the strut or just drill new holes where you want them. H-Sport, the maker of many fine products, has camber plates also but they require drilling two new holes and the K-MAC's require no drilling.
What about Crash Bolts? I friend uses them to get some neg. camber in his Toyota GT that he autocrosses. Guess they are legal for solo II. They are just smaller diam. bolts that allow you to kick our the bottom of the strut.
Crash bolts are only allowable (by the SCCA) if your service manual indicates that they may be used to provide additional camber (Toyota Celicas have this in their owner's manual is therefore allowable by the SCCA). Unfortunately due to the design of the MINI's front struts (clamp style) there is no way to employ crash bolts (nor is there any mention of it in any of the online service information that I've looked through). As Richard mentioned above camber plates are really the only way to get more than 1/2 degree of negative camber out of the front suspension.
