Hi, I am looking to use the H-Sport Sway bar in the rear and would like to know if there is any advantage to also using their adjustable front bar? I am not worried about cost and the car will be used for Autocrossing, Some track use and on the street. I have searced the past threads and cannot find a good answer.

Thanks

Hey Dgarner99
I may not answer your question, but I can tell you that you will absolutely feel the difference in handling along with the H-sports Springs. The swaybar really goes unnoticed until you get into the good curves. Randy (Webbmotorsports) who we the NAM community has adopted as our advanced motoring guru, says that you really don't need the front swaybar as it is stiff enough unless you're into serious competition. A front strut tower bar will help as well.
LOL cost not a concern huh? I wish I had that problem

I drove (and was driven in) the famous Chilli Red/White Randy Webb MINI and it understeered with the front sway bar. Randy said it was a pain to install and didn't look forward to taking it off to get back to neutral handling.

For most of us the rear swaybar install if all that is needed to improve or adjust for understeer (which is expected for front wheel drive cars). The stock front swaybar is enough in most cases. If you add the H-sport 22 mm or tubular rear bar you have three adjustment holes to select which increase stiffness and help to work with the rest of your suspension setup (stock springs or H-sport lower springs) to give you neutral to slight understeer handling.
For more info talk to Randy Webb at Webbmotorsports.com

I agree with minihune, I see no need for both bars. The front bar is pretty beefy already. Play around with the adjustability of the aftermarket rear bar to get what you want. You can get a 19mm rear bar which I have heard is neutral handling but with 3 adjustments on the Madness bar you ought to go from slight understeer to neutral to what I have with the stiffest setiing and be able to induce slight oversteer and then with steering inputs, get a controlled drift.

hi there..

there's one thing that everyone seems to forgett and that's the weight of the bars! The H-sport bar is much lighter
giving you less mass and weight over the front wheels (or rear). I do road racing and have done so for over 25 years,
and I also instruct for different roadracing groups and the car does NOT understeer like a pig with the front bar attached.
I do agree with randy that if the front bar is to stiff the car has a tendency to under steer, with that said it's important
to get the car set up properly with a professional alignment, get the springrates right on and use camber plates in front
and camber links in rear. The last(almost) piece of the puzzle are your tires which I could talk about for ours.
I personaly use the Toyo RA1 they are not the stickies tire on the market but very forgiving at the limit and can take
large slipangles with no problem making it my choice until something better comes around.

The last piece of the puzzle is the driver, overcooking the the entrance to a turn will almost for sure uppsett
the handling of your car and making it understeer. Smothness is the bottom line for fast driving and if you remember
these words: : TO GO FAST.....GO SLOW
