Camber Plate Comparison

So I'm considering getting some adjustable camber plates for my '03 MCS daily driver. Both of my upper strut mounts are cracked (probably from severe potholes in DC) and I thought I'd upgrade rather than replace them.

After doing a fair bit of research, I'm looking closely at the the Eibach/SPC plates and the H-Sport plates. I've heard a lot of good things about both, but I've also heard a few negatives (mostly about the Eibach's). It looks like the fit and adjustability of the H-Sports is superior, but I don't know if it's worth the extra $200.

Also I wanted to confirm my thinking that if you have camber plates, then you have no need for strut tower reinforcement against mushrooming.

Any input is appreciated.

Cheers!

Hi ColonelAngus,
I have H-Sport Adjustable Camber Plates and a Dinan Strut Tower Brace. I do like the combo due to the roads in this area really give a new meaning to suck during the springtime. I have had no problems with the combo. The camber plates are set to run -1.8 so the summer and fall time driving is a little more fun! Way Motor Works did the install on the plates and I would highly recommend his service. Good luck on your decision.

The Hsport Camber plates are great, but also check out the Vorshlag camber plates. We've used both without failure. I recommend them both.

I picked up the H-Sport from Way, I think you will find them to be worth the extra $200 over the SPC/Eibach.

I like the H-Sport myself. Both the Vorshlags and H-Sports are very well made. The H-Sports are easier to adjust and look much better in the engine compartment. I at first tried to use the Vorshlags but my coilovers would not work with them. Think of what you may do in the future, shock/coilover wise and plan accordingly.
