Check to see the springs are seated correctly on all four corners. It's quite easy to twist the rubber cushions while recompressing the shocks and **** the spring seat.

moving the perfromance mods

installed my H&Rs yesterday, both sides are even and the car is exactly the height I want it, also can't beat the $175 I paid for it from a forum member who bought them and before installing decided to take a different path with his suspension upgrades.

I love my Eibach springs. I haven't actually checked to see if the drivers side is lower than the passenger side, but just to be sure, no one was in the car when you were checking the level of the car, right?

Just pull your wheels off again, and see if you can see anything obviously wrong. How off is it? Have you driven the car a bit, then checked it?

Try driving the MINI around a bit and let the springs settle.
Make sure the air pressure is the same in all tires.
Make sure that all of the bolts and connections are on tight and secure.
Check on a level surface.
Give it a week or so of driving and then check again.

Funny how all of the complaints on uneven heights deal with only Eibach spring upgrades!
If it is not pretty strange then it doesn't look so good when other springs out there do so well.

If all else fails try talking to Alex@tirerack as he has experience with this.

Do you have a MC or MCS? Maybe you got the springs that were for minis built before 3/02?

Who else here has had problems with eibachs? I haven't heard of many. I talked to a guy with a MCS at a meet here in so cal and he has eibach springs on his MCS. He hasnt had any problems and said they were great. I dont know why you got this thing against eibachs Ryephile... I know lots of people that have eibachs on other cars and they have all worked great for them.

minihune's right. drive around a couple of miles to settle the springs.
i had eibachs on my previous pro5...they were excellent springs. but
it took a good 5-10min drive to settle them in. then after about
2 weeks, it really settled in to the perfect height.

most lowering springs from my experience will tilt the car a tad
on one of the heavier corners. only coilovers will fix that to
an EXACT corner height (within 1mm).

the guy who installed them said the driver side would be slightly lower (within 10mm) range as the steering pump and all that are on that same side??????

everything else is good........good ride, better than the stock (as i have 215/40/17 with the stock spring for one week and they were harsh!!!!!!!!!)

was checked with no passenger and tire pressure at 30 as per Yokohama specified.

hmmmmmmmmmm

10mm??! i doubt that. i set my coilovers 2mm higher on my WRX
to compensate my body weight when im not in the car.

10mm, your passenger needs to weight 200lbs over your weight.

This is a good thought and worth checking if the springs you have are the correct ones for your MINI.

This case comes to mind:

Of course spring problems are in the minority. There are many H-sport spring users in my area and none report any problems.

You might just drive the MINI around first and keep checking. I'd increase the tire pressure up to 33 psi if you have 17" wheels.

Apparently Eibach only make one set of spring for the MINI, S or No "S". Also it was confirmed with Eibach USA that the Driver side would be slightly slightly lower............strange but that had been confirmed.......... oh well then.........

While it is true that Eibach spring sets will fit either MC or MCS there are two sets to choose from:
http://www.racerwheel.com/suspension...ni-cooper.html
They list-
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eibach Pro Kit Lowering Springs 1.0" Drop (FR) & 1.2" Drop (RR) - Mini Cooper 03/02-UP (INCLUDING "S" MODEL)
EIB-5702
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eibach Pro Kit Lowering Springs 1.0" Drop (FR) & 1.4" Drop (RR) - Mini Cooper 02-03/02 (EXCEPT "S" MODEL)
EIB-5701
Cost $236.32 per set.

I measured my MCS with H-sport springs at the center of the hub axle, each of the wheel arches measures just above 25 inches off the ground exactly. Not sure why for you the driver's side should be any different.
