Suspension MCS stance
MCS stance
Ive noticed that all mini's (standard) - even lowered ones too, the back sits lower than the front. Why is that? My understanding is that on most cars the back is usually raised a little than the front as there is more weight in the back when carrying passengers and luggage, the engine also sits in the front end of the car, hence it being a tad lower?
Can some care to explain! thanks

Takes longer for front springs to settle in.....eventually they will even out after you put some mileage on them. But most don't wait long enough to take the first photos of their new lower stance.

It's just a trick of the eye. The rear wheel wells are noticeably smaller than the front ones so it looks like there is less wheel gap in the rear which leads the viewer to beleive that the rear is lower. If you actually measure the sideskirts you'll find that most MINI's have front rake.
Good example image. You can see that I tuck more wheel in the rear which makes the mind think that the car has reverse rack. Then you look at the sideskirts and notice that the car is much lower in the front. The uneven tuck just happens because of the wheel well size variance. It's a common thing among car designs now.

The slammed ride height just makes the point more visible.
