OK, so what is it:

Are the SS & SS+ springs the same with the same options (i.e MC w/SS vs. MCS w/SS+)?

Or are they different?

Sure would like to know: I'm looking to move my MC CVT from SS to SS+; struts, and sway bar change, but springs as well?

The MCS only has one set of suspension with no options for SS and SS+. The actual part numbers will vary according to the options that the MCS comes with. The heavier options like sunroof and NAV have springs that are rated for heavier load although they all look the same.

Only in the MC will you find that the stock version can be upgraded to SS+ which includes the suspension similar to the stock MCS. I think the part numbers may be different. SS+ includes changing struts, springs and rear swaybar.

That's what I was beginning to understandas well. However, I've read of several MC people switching over to MCS springs with no mention of problems from not matching exactly.

Furthermore, lowering springs seem to be the same for the MC and MCS, regardless of options (except for the year difference thingy - post someting '02 - and I don't know what that is...)

Derek,

They all fit, but they are different rates. You can put anything from any MINI onto another MINI (except for the very early pre 03/02 models), but they may all have different rates and diameters.

Hope that helps!
