TSW KW Varient 1

Anyone actually running the TSW V1 coilovers? I've been exchanging emails with the TSW, they mentioned that their V1s are specially valved to match the mini better at a lower stance and 1.5" lowered would be the most ideal for handling gains. They mentioned that the springs are the same as the "off the shelf" V1s.

Don't know how exactly would effect in real world result. I got a qouted from a few places which is about $200 less for the non-TSW version. Should I with significant reason to go for the TSW version? or Save the $$ for other mods like sways.

TSW or regular KW V1 users pls assist!!

Thanks!

MMM for $200 I am not sure I don't think that you would notice the difference that much but hey if you want to fork $200 out you might as well go with the V2s

Well You Have Always Heard Of " You Get What You Pay For " So Those 200 Bux Must Be Going For Something Right ? I Would Read More Into Both Products And See What Kind Of Results They Promise

I put the regular KW V1's on my factory JCW. I am very happy with the ride quality on the road, it is a little harsher than the factory setup. The other thing to be aware of is that you might needs 5mm spacers on the front end in order to make the car drivable without any rubbing. Luckily it's not my only car so waiting five days for spacers to show up was not a big deal for me. I had about 2mm of space between tires and spring and their directions say you need 5mm. I am running stock 17 inch wheels so an aftermarket wheel with different offset might make the difference as well.

I don't see spending that much more money worth it. Get 'em from Mini Madness for a $1195!

Had mine instaled but terrible noise on bumps and slow motion cracks sounds from front, vibration under aceleration, are this common for coiloves, sounds like old truck. Any suggestion how to fix this terrible noise?

I would recheck all -- Terrible noises are not normal. Have you called your supplier and asked for help?

On the setup aprox. 2500 miles, and today I have 43000 miles. The installer (professional mechanic) had some questions about the lenght of the sway bar end links been to long, did not change, but thougtht in cutting them.

OK, good data, can you narrow down where something is hitting or rubbing?

we are not using any spacers, as others had sugested, using 215/40r18 et52 jcw wheels.
the sway bar had change the position, is that normal too? of course the lowered car lift the end of the sway bar, is a change in the links always necesary?

HI Tedie, you don't need new or to make any changes to the endlinks for that system.

Not one odd sound with mine, and I did them myself. Very easy by the way.
