Anyone ever paint their springs?

Just as the title says, has anyone ever painted there springs before? Opinions on what the best type of paint would be for the flexibility of the spring.

I have a Red/Black themed R56 S and just bought the NM Blue Springs. I want to go red. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I got a great deal from Nick at NAMotors here in CT on NM's Springs. Paid much less, but still got a quality part, not to say that the Mach V's aren't. It's okay, I'm going red paint, with a white flex primer. I should be fine, there's no plastic coating on these, just powder-coat.

I'll let everyone know how it turns out.

Great point made. Even with them painted red, looking very nice, and no chipping of any sort, you can still barely see them Oh well, at least I know it matches in my head. Just for reference purposes, I just a flex paint primer twice and regular dupicolor high heat enamel five coats.

Just an update on this...I painted the springs RED. I have no chips in the paint or cracking at all...I got about 600+ miles on them through a track day, rain, and daily driving.

1 - You can't tell its red unless you stick your head in the wheel well or look closely through my spokes

2 - I won't waste my time next time!
