VMaxx question

Ive read the review on in issue 5 about the vmaxx coilovers on the r56 and was wondering if this review would pertain also to the r53. i am assuming it will but just wanted to see if anyone had any feedback!

I just put a set of V-Maxx on my R53 this weekend and despite needing spacers to go any lower, they ride great.

Mr. incredible, is the ride harsher than stock? what oem suspension did you have?

I will hopefully have my set on in a couple weeks. I intend on doing a full write up and how-to with pics...so us R53 owners have a bit more to go by.

I had the stock sport suspension and it feels softer than that, however, things will change when i go lower I'm sure.

softer is good for me...I think the car rights on the verge of too rough right now.

couple more questions, how far was you able to lower before you rubbed? and what size tires do ya have?..... I might as well plan on getting spacers since i have 215/45/17 on mine.

to be honest, I'm not sure how much it dropped. The highest point of my arches are sitting at 24" right now. What are yours?

installed and i love it! tops of arches are right around 23.75 all around. rides like a mini but no worse. handles like a mini should! i dont understeer anymore! the rear shocks are loud though but still, great looks and great performance without compromising ride!

yeah, get some pictures. Mine are still sittin in a box. Im installing JCW brakes at the same time...so I have to save up for a brake bleed, and an alignment before I tackle the installs.

the fronts are maxxed out, in other words, that is as high as you are able to raise the nose of the car with the vmaxx coilovers installed.

i dont have any pics, but it is SLAMMED, when i first put them on i accidently had them on the lowest setting, i had rubbing issues on 215/45/17's, another good 1"-1.5" lower than that

I'm running 205/45/16's and rub pretty bad on big dips . I have mine slammed pretty low though. Definitely lower than daegerter. Just waiting for it to settle to see if I will lower it any more though. I'll try and get some pics posted up tomorrow for you all to see how low they can go rather than how high.

I wonder if anyone can post some pics of the rear coils before they were installed. I've emailed stratmosphere 3 times and apparently they're falling upon deaf ears, or blind eyes as it were.

The rear coils on my mini are loud as F--- and it makes me wonder if I messed something up, although, it seemed to be pretty straight forward...

are you wondering if you got your fronts and rears switched? I have a picture of my complete set if that would help?

There is no chance that I got them mixed up they wouldn't physically fit. I'm just wondering if maybe I put the rears together wrong but again I think they were pretty straight forward and would be hard to mess up but anything is possible.

Mr. Incredible, I have heard these can bit a bit noisy, and is normal, but not sure how noisy theyre supposed to be, or whats too much. i'll try to post up my thoughts/impressions when i finally find a weekend to put mine on.
