Yes. What're you trying to achieve over the 3 flavors [standard, sport, and JCW] of OEM suspension?
That said, why on earth wouldn't you want to lower an R56? They look absurd at stock ride height with all that wheel gap showing how non-concentric the wheels are within the arches.

i live in alaska. drive on dirt roads every so often. dont want to smash my lip on any rocks i might lower the back but i have to wait till i get my defusser installed first. wondering what would be my options and i could just get bigger tires and rims oh i have the standard s suspension

If you're looking to lower some of the year, coilovers do sound like the best bet (based on what your intentions seem to be). But they tend to a trade off for a very stiff ride no matter what the settings are, which you may or may not prefer.
