Cross Coilover install problem

I purchased a set of Cross coilovers and went to do the installation on my 2008 MCS. When I tried to put the bottom of the CO into the suspension where the pinch bolt is I could not get it in. I measured the Cross and found it to be 52mm and the suspension hole at the pinch bolt is 51.4mm. The stock shock measured 51.2mm thus providing clearance. I tried to spread the suspension at the pinch bolt but was not successful. Has anyone had a similar problem and if so how did you solve it?

Thanks, Terry

Try inserting the sqaure end of a 1/4 inch drive extension in the lower edge slit from below and turn it 45 degrees; this should spread it enough.
