Camber Arms? I'm not aware of any aftermarket offerings of control arms for the R56 (Or the R53 for that matter). The control arms are the big steel supports that hold the wheels on. The thin, almost sheet metal looking arms that strut out on the top and bottom are camber arms.

That logic sound correct. However, most of the sites selling after market suspension parts for the mini refer to them as control arms. Go figure.

You might like to install the lower camber link if you intend to use a variety of wheels/tires and have track days.
I don't think that the JCW bits will lower the car more than the stock adjuster can handle.
The links adjust the vertical alignment of the rear wheels latterally. The upper controls toe.

adjustments on the bottom also affect toe because the arm doesn't line up to the wheel hub at the center. Increasing negative camber also increases toe in slightly, and vice versa.

Sweet. Sounds nice!

What I would say for the original topic is this:

If you drop one inch or less, then OEM hardware should work. This covers JCW, H-sport, and TSW.

More than an inch Tein, H&R, M7, etc... rear control arms would be great in order to dial in the ride's proper alignment.

Everyone can use these, but many people don't need them. I thought of getting a set of Alta arms to sharpen my response, but it sounds like an expensive mod given that these wear out faster than OEM by a long shot.

Just my .02
