Suspension M7 Strut Brace Hight Problem
after my 10 year old son installed the bar ('08 mcsc) i had "the bulge." i used the chalk method to see where the contact was. took out the lining (putting a large towel in the engine bay is a very good idea!) and cut out the back where the pressure was occuring. put it back in, closed the bonnet and viola.....no bulge. from undoing the strut tower bolts to completion (with said 10 year old doing about half the work), took under 1 hour. i'd highly recommend the "cutting the backside method!

Looks like you will have a good crew chief in just a few years .Randy
