Does this sound right?

I just spoke to a local tuner about installing H&R springs, and he quoted me 4 hrs of labor + cost of springs (approx $600 total). Does this seem right? This includes alignment.

Ouch. I'm quite practiced at swapping out lowering springs on the MINI, and it takes me about 2 hours including beer and horsing around. That said, it takes me another solid 2 hours to do my manual trigonometry-style alignment, so 4 hours total labor is probably fair.

Ouch is right! Flat rate is likely 1 hr per corner. So if his shop rate is $100 an hour he is essentially spot on. My only issue is that people that are familiar with the cars can do them properly in less than one hour. So I am a-ok with 2 hours labor, plus an alignment at $80 plus springs for $230 = $500 ish.

Maybe see if you can work a better deal. But I can say the results are worth it!

Good luck!
