Help with springs

I have had my mini for six months now and I am started to wish it was lower. I have a mc40 with the r90s and the gap from the tire to the wheel well is way to big. I think I would like about a two inch drop but after looking at the springs sticky the lowest I saw was 1.38. How much of a drop would I need to fill in the gap wheel well gap nicely? I am have no knowledge in suspension so you guys are going to have to bare with me. Also not looking to spend large amounts of money. What is the average price for a set of springs?
Thanks in advance for any help

Mike

Go to the various vendors and look at the possible lowering springs.

About a 1" drop is common front and back for an MCS. H-sport springs are popular.

If you want a bit more then check out the M7 springs.

If you want more than that then coilovers will work but cost will be much higher.

Lowering springs are about $225+ a set of four.

I know it sounds like 1" drop is not that much but you need to see a MINI in person that has had this done. It looks OK and you don't really want to go so low as to be scraping your rear wheel arches. You will still have stock shocks so a little tire clearance would be ideal.

i have seen inch front 1.5 in the back. the stock rear control arms can adjust the camber back to stock with a 1.5 inch drop . any lower and you will need to get lowering rear control arms too. kudos on like 200-250 for a 4 set

I just had the M7's installed this week, wheel gap looks perfect, with my 45's on it. I think im going to go with 40 series though and will get a little more wheel gap than I have now, but the whole car will drop a little further also.

Not sure how this is possible as there are no adjustments on the stock arms? I had to go with aftermarket arms.
