Anyone on Proxes?

The package I'm thinking about from Edge Racing has 6 tire options in the bundle. Now, I've seen than many endorse the Yoko Parada Spec II's but those aren't available from them. I wanna get the bundle to avoid multiple orders and multiple shipping charges. Also, I want to get the best tires I can and they look like Toyo Proxes 4's. But, I also couldn't find a review on the Rack of these tires. Is anyone here on these or used them and what do they think? For now, its all spirited road driving although I'd like to do 1 or 2 NASA days before the summer is out. 98% on roads, noise is no issue to me, grip and wear are tied for first in importance.

Had two sets of Proxes 4's. They were great. My friend's RX8 has them too.

Are you looking for Summer or All-Season tires?

I have them on my 15" and love them. I think for price and quality they are excellent value.

And a friend on mine also has them on his Mazda Rx8.

Depends what you use the car for. I"m not the biggest fan of Toyos all season tires.
Do you use snow tires in the winters there in PA?

The best thing I ever did was get an extra set of rims for winter tires paired with some nice performance tires for summer. Saved my *** through many a NorthEast winter when I lived in NY.

The Proxes are great tires, I've ran two sets on my car. Overall a very good tire. Would buy again.

toyo proxes 4 have my vote too. pricing wise is good too. if you do track days go for the toyo T1R, otherwise the proxes 4 will do.

I have gone through (3) sets of Toyo Proxes 4 tires. Very good "street" performance tire - not noisy when worn - good value for the $. For the track, I would use Toyo T1-R tires instead.

I just did my first track day on my Proxes 4 and they were pretty good. At least for my skill level I wouldn't say the tires were holding me back. I can't say how well they would hold up to repeated track days, I'll find out when I go again in Aug and Sep.

Of our 4 sessions, the first two it was sprinkling and the track was wet, it was very very slick. My tires are decently worn and the car was squigly everywhere. But it sounded like it was like that for most people so I don't know if I'd chalk it up to the tires.

For around town rain they are awesome, I live in Portland, OR so we get our fair share of rain. I didn't have a chance to use them in the snow.

Sweet, thanks for the info everyone. And to answer, yes, I'm going to keep my factory 16" wheels with the next to new Goodyear all-seasons on them for late fall through early spring driving.

Proxes 4's on my car in 18". Had them on my other MINI before switching to Pirellis.

Both are pretty good tires but the Proxes are cheaper.
