Suspension front strut tool
One solution is a regular deep wall socket with vice grips... Once you loosen some you should be able to get a combination wrench on there (or use your fingers). Make sure you have your coil spring compressor on there before the nut releases, or before you begin loosening at all.
What I use (and I believe one of the easiest solutions) is an air impact wrench. It will loosen the nut without having to hold the strut piston shaft (to keep it from turning). You can also use the air impact wrench to tighten the nut during the reinstall. If you do not have or can not rent/borrow an air compressor there are also electric (battery powered) impact wrenches available. You should be able to rent an impact wrench.
