Hi guys, been lurking around the site for a while, just reading, but decided it was time to join.

A quick question- My coolant level seems a bit low. Not in a dangerous level, but I don't think I have any leaks, and previously it seemed to always be constant. Any thoughts?

My '02 Cooper CVT with 6,900 miles also exhibits a low coolant level (At or a bit below the "LOW" mark in the reservoir) and also the coolant has changed color from blue to brown.

I haven't had any problems as far as the engine temperature is concerned or overheating, but will have the dealer take a look at it on its first scheduled service stop.

I don't think I have any leaks either.

The same thing happened to me, mine is low and theres doesnt seem to be any leaks so I took it to the dealer the other day. They said it was fine and that the coolant "just evaporated" and to just add water when the engine is cool. This doesnt sound right to me.
