cold weather shifting
You have an atomic or manual tranny?
Either way, get it checked out. Even when starting up at 10 degrees, the shifting on my 6 speed doesn't seem to be any stiffer than normal. I had a Honda, though, that wouldn't change gears for the first 15 minutes when it got below minus 20 in Minnesota. I have no clue what's normal with an automatic.
I'm assuming you have a manual tranny. There has been some discussion about poor cold-weather shifting in the past. A trip to the dealer and some lubrication of the shift cables seems to solve the problem. All else being equal, it should be a little harder to shift in cold weather as the tranny fluid isn't in it's operating temp. Older cars tend to exhibit these symptoms more often as their syncro's are more worn down.
