Has anyone had replaced their transimssion under warranty? Shouldn't you get a new transmission instead of a refurbished one?

you ussually get a refurbished, the one you send in gets fixed and used again on another car.

 

If the dealer is replacing it under warranty - you will get a refurbished unit - certified by a BMW-MINI rebuilder

It is all you can get from MINI - even the clutch assemblies the dealer sells are refurbished units -- backed by BMW-MINI of course

My experience in the past with other makes/models is alot of the rebuilt parts are made better than the factory new parts you can buy. Good luck!

 

I have gotten a tranny replaced and it seems to be fine. Gotta love that warranty!

are you sure the clutch kits are refurbished units? i have replaced a lot of kits and have yet to send one in for warranty
