Can anyone tell me in the attached photo, what the shiny black hose is called with the 90 degree bend in it above the text box is? When I start my car in the cold, this hose seems to make a whiny noise. The hose callapses at the bend when the car is running. I would imagine it is some kind of vacuum?

That is the high vacuum PVC hose. It runs to the SC. There was a warranty issue with these I believe, you should be able to get it replaced at no charge at your dealer.
