window down?

Anyone on here come outside and have their windows down a bit, without leaving them that way???

There has been a few times when I swear with windows were fully up and come to find they were down like 1/4 or less when I come back... I swear it isn't me pushing on the fob too much...

maybe I am just nutz!

I have noticed this a couple of times with mine, I think I put my key in my pocket and somehow have the button depressed a bit to automatically lower the windows by accident, maybe too much crap in my pockets

This is usually the culprit My damn keys don't reach more then 10feet so its never been a problem. But I do seem to get pretty wet when it rains too

Do you think it was you or the car that was doing it?

ive noticed something like that before on mine. I would roll up the windows fully then come back and it seams like it dropped a tad. Maybe just an error with the window motor? Idk. Doesnt happen often enough to bother me.

Mine did this regularly. Replacing the BC1 computer fixed the problem. Some dealers know about this problem so get it fixed under warranty because it's VERY expensive to replace after the warranty expires.

I've had it happen to me a few times it even went down when I opened it, closed the door it went back up and then dropped again like the door was open, only the door was shut tight I'll have to mention it when I go in, just another thing on the list.

Has happened to me twice. Once was overnight so I know it wasn't me pressing the key fob. They both dropped about 3 inches and it rained that night Had a nice wet Mini the next morning. The other time was in the middle of the day and again, no chance of me pressing the button on the key. Just one of the many little electrical gremlins the early cars seem to have. Mine's an 03, July 02 build. Really wish BMW had spent a little more time at the drawing board on these cars.

The first time it happened to me it rained also. On the way back from MTTS I stopped at Patrick MINI in Schaumburg, IL to take care of some small issues and my friend, Rich, who works as a mechanic there immediately new of the fix and replaced my BC1 computer. The problem has never happened since and it had been very regular before that.
