My problem is that my rear hatch is rattling when the system is up(which it never used to), and isn't completely closing. meaning that the body panel on the hatch isn't aligning with the rest of the rear. could this be caused by "shot" rear hatch hydralics?

 

Rear hatch rattle was a common issue with '03. Dealer fixed mine by replacing the rubber stops the hatch closes against and adjusting/lubing the latch mechanism.

My '02 had a hatch rattle which the dealer fixed as TSB complaint. They replaced the latch.

There were issues as well with the rear seat latches rattling. These, too, were a TSB advisory item.

I fixed mine by wrapping the chrome loop with rubber tubing i had lying around. I just put pieces on the two upright sides and it fixed the rattle.
