Very Odd Noise
Very Odd Noise
I noticed this noise after I did a pulley / motor mount and MTH software but I don't really think it has anything to do with any of those. Here's what happends. I start the car, fine. reverse to pull out of a parking spot, fine. But when I put the car in drive it seems like from greater than 0 mph to about 7 or 8 mph, I get an odd noise like something is rubbing on the tire with every rotation. in other words, rub, pause, rub, pause... you get the point. The noise completely goes away at speeds higher than 10 mph. I looked under the car and in the wheel wells as best as I could and noticed nothing out of place. Any Clue what this could be?
I've had wheel bearings go out on me before and I almost suspect this is what could be happening, the noise seems to be concentrated in the front of the car (Pass side maybe?). My only concern is that I took off the Pass side wheel to replace the motor mount but I don't see any way I could have messed anything up in there.
Any Ideas?

I presume that you had the wheel well liner removed for the pully/mount replacement. There is a good chance that some foreign matter (stone, dirt, etc.) fell into the brake caliper and is rubbing slightly against the rotor. Try putting the car in reverse and back up quickly a couple of times. If that doesn't take care of it, you'll probably have to pull the wheel and inspect your caliper/rotor.
That's my best guess...
