Polyurethan Motor Mounts or Engine Torque Brace?

I'm trying to improve the feel of the car as it goes through the gears especially under braking / down shifting in our MCSa. The 3rd to 2nd gear downshift is absolutely jolting and annoying.

Been reading some threads about the Engine Torque Braces which I've never really enjoyed all that much on other cars. To me (my opinion/experience) they are a band aid to the fix - too much motor or drivetrain movement. It does the job but I don't think its what I'm looking for.

Also stumbled upon some polyurethane motor mounts on various vendor sites. I'm thinking that the poly mounts would help the car feel smoother through its accelerationg and deceleration by decreasing the amount of motor movement.

Anyone got any experience with this? Anyone running the poly motor mounts and want to provide some feedback?

Much thanks.

I had poly mounts for awhile - until they drove me crazy. They seriously transmit everything into the cabin of the car, at all speeds, but especially at idle. But, they do work - and they work very, very well. I just couldn't take it on the street...

Now, when my car is retired to a being dedicated track ****, they'll definitely go back in...

These will not help with the jolt you feel in the car when coming down gears. In fact it may only increase the experience. The auto trans is acting like a manual but without matching revs for the downshift. Engine mounts will only increase this force, because they are there to soften the transition.

The MCSa rough shifts up and down are part of it's character. I've found nothing which helps this in the 20k+ on my car.

Although now that i think about it, since I installed a header and high-flow CAT the car's power delivery is much better and shifts seem a tab better.

That "character" can be annoying at times...

I was hoping there would be some more input comparing these two products.

Thanks for the comments thus far.
