Software to read OBDII Codes
I use MINI-Mania ODB2 scan tool
Works great and not too expensive.
I always carry it in my car. It fits great in the glovebox, and comes with a carrying case, and a manual that explains most of the codes.

Here is your tool:
http://www.auterraweb.com/
it's only capable of ODBII, but unlike BIM-COM from Ross-Tech, it's not vapor-ware.
And it has a dyno like feature as well.
Wait-stop the presses... This might even be better, check out TonyB's thread:

Auto Enginuity can read and clear OBDII codes. I've used it for that. It also does quite alot more, which explains why it's a wee bit expensive for some.
Cool, I'll check all of those out.
What ever happened to BIM-COM? Are they going to make that or what? I used to have an Audi before my MCS so I'm very familiar with VAG-COM, it was great software.
