Almost 50,000

I have an '05 MCS and am almost to 50,000. Do any of you have any advise on what I should have the Dealership look at? I'm going to schedule some time with them in the next week or so. I've had some electrical issues: Boot not opening, and some issues with the dash that a restart of the MINI resolved. Odd sound on passenger right tire when turning sharp right at higher speeds. Whinning sounds on really hot days with air conditioning on. I think that's everything.

Feel free to redirect me if this has been covered in an earlier thread.

Thank you all for your suggestions.

50K Divorce

I took the day off and waited while my MINI was being serviced by the dealer for the last time. It shows that I am watching and that they better take me seriously. Still, the MINI tuner found rusted muffler brackets that I returned for the following weeks. Apparently, a lot of MINIs have rusted muffler hangers/brackets. I also paid a local mechanic $40 to go over my MINI, and they found brakes that needed servicing. Hope this helps. The dealer was able to address each of the following; some have no fix and I was willing to compromise.

Good luck!

I don't know about USA MINI dealers, but back in Canada, they had an 100-points inspection last year... It cost me around 125$ and they checked everything... and would replaced parts under warranty.

Fortunately (or not lol), they have not found anything wrong.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to call my local MINI dealer and ask them a few questions as well. I want to make sure I don't miss out on warrenty repairs that may be lurking. This MINI is my very first brand new car and I want it last as long as possible.

After Warranty Expires

The day my warranty expired, and the repair work was finished, I drove to Helix for a new cold air intake, 17 percent reduction pulley, and a better rear sway bar. It's a lot of bang for the buck - $940.
