Intermittent electric windows

Going to call to get these fixed/replaced.

Only when the car sits for awhile in 85+F weather.

Anyone else?

Having mine replaced right now. According to MINI it is a 'known' issue and you do not have to have non-operating windows when you take it to the dealer.

For an interim fix, bang on your interior door panel just above the lower speaker while holding the window switch down. This sometimes 'jars' the motor into action.

I have an 06 MCS and thus far have had no issues with my windows in hot weather. I was in 105 degree temperatures last weekend (SoCal to Vegas) and used the windows after the car was parked several times. Good luck sorting your problem out.

Yeah, I have been doing that, Its an old problem and I had brought it to Charlotte once. They couldn't replicate the problem. I'm calling tommorow.

I just fear breaking something else banging. Or worse yet the banging quits working after 50K.

My new-to-me '05 is doing the same, though just on the drivers side. Very annoying. I also find that the windows squeak like crazy going up and down. Sounds like it's time to visit the dealer

My windows squeaked alot too. I took it to the local dealer, where they fiddled with the window seals and installed a whole lot of some greasy material somehwere in the mechanism. It streaked my windows for months afterwards. That was a year and a half ago, and now the windows still squeak a bit, but I've gotten used to it. If the car is still under warranty, don't let the dealership make you pay for the "repair"!
