Seat belt warning chime

Does anone know witch one of the connectors under the seats are the ones for the seat belt chimes. I have heated seat. I know one of the wires come from the seat belt buckles that tell the car that someone is in the front two seats and sends off that obnoxis noise when driving. I know, I know its a safety thing and I should leave the wires hooked up, but I cant stand the beeping sounds. Can anyone help?

Grab that strap hanging on the outboard side, pull it around you and insert the metal piece into that black thing next to your seat on the inboard side, and that obnoxious beeping sound should stop. It always works for me

As the "March of the Seatbelt Nannies" starts up do a search in Interior/Exterior on "seatbelt chime" to learn that it isn't as simple as unplugging something, then go to the Electrical with a "disable your seat belt warning chime" search to view the final answer which is somewhat complicated. After considering the options, I just ignore it when I am in the paddock, at my house, moving the car, etc. I did notice at random Friday when putting the trash cans in the Mini, that certain Journey songs use the same tone and beat as the chime, I may have to get a cd or two....

I know what you mean buzzs, I live in a condo, and whenever im tinkering with something above ground (groceries, garbage in the bin, etc) i then proceed down to my underground spot and that chiming noise hollers at me the whole way down. (Of course, my spot is the very last one at the bottom of the building!).

The MINI is no where NEAR as bad as our Touareg. That bloody thing blips, chirps, chimes, flashes and vomits literally the second it senses some weight in the seat. You don't even have a few seconds to get your belt on. The drivers seat is JUST as freaking bad if the key is in the ignition. So if you are sitting somewhere with the car running you HAVE to put on your belt or it will BING BING BING BING BING for ever. :impatient

I don't know how you people drive with no seat belt on....I need something to hold me back while taking hard turns....plus it's safe! I can't wait for my Schroth Harness' so I can really be strapped down! I love the feeling.

Have not done this, but what about going to a junkyard and buying a spare buckle and just plugging it in?

Don't buy anything. A buissness card in the catch will fool the hall sensor, which is like an electric eye. If you are driving use the belt, it won't make you a sissy.

Mine stops after about 4 minutes. I think. It might be 3 miles, but not for sure.

At least with the Touareg you can program it to the ROW with a vag com and never hear it again.

Ok i just figured out how to stop the chiming noise...Just lean forward enough to take the weight off the back of the seat...It should stop after a few seconds.
Finally some peace and quiet while im parking my car in the underground garage. Hope this helps.

There is no simple "disconnect the wires under the seat" fix. All you will do by playing around under there is trip the seat belt and/or airbag lights which can then only be shut off by the Dealer (for a charge).

So.........do the mod suggested on this form, remove the plastic cover, remove the spring, move the magnet and then glue it in place.

Not really that difficult and it is sooooooooooooo nice not having the idiot chime making that oh so politically controversial decision for you.
