I searched. The threads discussing Optima Red Top batteries seem to be focused on MCSs, which have the battery mounted in the boot.

Has anyone with a Cooper mounted an Optima Red Top in the factory battery box in the engine compartment? If so, which model did you purchase, and what did you have to do (if anything) to make it fit securely?

I've looked at the battery specs, and it looks as if the Model 35 might be short enough to fit, but I'm hoping that someone who's done this already can enlighten me before I buy the battery.
