battery recall

I have an 03 MCS and I called them and asked if I was in the recall and they said no. Just as a recaution I replaced my battery at 3.5 years and 50K miles. It's just smart to replace it. You were probably not driving enough to keep the battery charged. They require 10K per year.

I'd rather lose $20 of remaining battery life than get stranded somewhere. I bought a 72-month megatron Interstate. The tow guy told me he never sees them dead. Good luck!

Well, I'm getting a free OEM replacement under warranty (the service desk claimed the battery recall notice doesn't cover my build dates despite the wisdom cited earlier on this thread), but if I still have the car three years from now I'm going to replace it preemptively with a DieHard.
